The AOC Margaux is the only communal appellation of Haut-Medoc to bear the name of a Premier Grand Cru Classe, Chateau Margaux. It is one of the most prestigious appellations of the Medoc and also one of the bigger. It makes fine and elegant wines with a harmonious, ample mouth supported by a fine weft of delicate and tasty tannis. Intensity that lasts for a long time with ageing. Young, the wine announces it’s structure and ageing potential with a powerful hue, between ruby and garnet.
Liveliness and elegance appear in an exceptionally broad palette and complex. Very early on, fruits hold an important place (cherries, currants) mixed with notes that invite you to travel: cinnamon, spices, roasting. As it ages, the bouquet offers scents of undergrowth and mushroom, clove. Rich, ample and well structured Margaux shows in its youth, but he does so without harshness or arrogance, his flexibility and complexity aromatic, which joins that of the nose, giving it a harmonious and seductive character.
The finish leaves the taster with a harmonious impression of finesse and of elegance.
